Sweet Amelie | Newborn Photographer Orange County, CA

Amelie (pronounced, Ah-me-lee):  Adorable, precious, sleepy, Mommy’s angel, Daddy’s little girl and future Dodger fan. 🙂

This sweet girl was such a dream to photograph… she slept so well and even for the short period she was awake, she didn’t cry… she just stared at me. 🙂 She was probably my easiest newborn shoot to date!  And what a beautiful baby girl she is!  I’m looking forward to any future opportunity to photograph her and her sweet family!

Sweet and ‘Sowers’ | Southern California Family Photographer

I got to spend the week in Mammoth, California with my two best friends and their families, and amongst the bike rides, shopping, chillaxing, snacking, hiking and scavenger hunts for the kids, I got to sneak in a couple photo shoots…. and hello! How could I not take advantage of the gorgeous landscapes Mammoth has too offer!?  Here are some favorites from my shoot with my very dear friends for life, the Sowers family. You can’t really tell by the the smiles, laughter and love you see below that it was SO windy and COLD out! They all did great despite the frigid temperatures and I hope they had as much fun with this shoot as I did!

Model in the Making? | OC Teen Photographer

Sometimes everything just comes together and falls right into place, fitting perfectly together like 2 puzzle pieces… This is how this session was for me: Beautiful girl, beautiful location.   While on vacation in Mammoth with some friends, we planned this mini shoot with Lexi and what a treat it turned out to be! I think what blows me away more than anything about these photos is what a STUNNING model Lexi is… Not only is she just a PRE-teen, but she had no modeling experience… can you say: Born to Model. Yes, I think so.  Any talent agents out there want to swoop this girl up??  I loved everything about how this shoot turned out….. and Lexi, when you’re a SUPER model one day, don’t forget about little ol’ me! 🙂

Marisa Taylor - It makes no sense that this girl is that gorgeous! What did you say she was, 12? AMAZING!

cheyenne - WOW!!! I saw you post a few sneak peeks (I’m a facebook fan!) and they blew me away. And now…to get to see the entire session is amazing! She is stunning, and your work is absolutely beautiful! What a sweet surprise at the end there with that beautiful smile! You’re right, she is meant to be a super model!! These are simply gorgeous and SUCH an inspiration to me!

Charlene Shumaker - The photos are beautiful as is Lexi. Great job.

Kaela, Class of 2012 | High School Senior Photographer, Orange County

As soon as I met Kaela I could tell what a sweetheart she is… quiet and shy but so sweet with a spunky side.  I was given the challenge to find a location to match the awesomeness that is her style…. check out the colored tips of her hair. Not many people can pull that off and it looks awesome on her!  However, preppy Orange County, California doesn’t have offer much spunky, rock star, grunge locations so I had to drive around one day to really seek it out… I don’t think I did too bad!

Kaela is starting college in the fall and will continue to be a star runner.  I look forward to hearing about her future success!

Pin-It-Up, Hubby! | Orange County, CA Pin-up Boudoir Photographer

I was so excited when one of my very dear friends contacted me about doing a Pin-up inspired photo shoot for her husband. It’s an era that her and I are both in love with, and after this session I’m convinced she should have been born in the 40’s! When planning this shoot, we wanted to break it up 3 ways- 1) Hot housewife 2) Hot car model (Her hubby is crazy about his new truck so we had to combine his two favorite things! 🙂 ) and 3) Hot beach babe!  This shoot was so much fun and I can’t wait to do another one like it!!

Sexy time…boudoir photo fun! « Pop the Champagne - […] fun and less like I had to look like a Maxim model. You can check out more of my photo’s on Whimsy Tree Photography’s blog here. (warning: there is some serious side boob in these photos!) My fave photo of the bunch…the […]

Rebecca, 2012 Senior | Orange County High School Photographer

I’ve said this before and I mean it with all my heart: Rebecca’s spirit shines as bright and as beautifully as the sun!  So the beautiful sundown in which we captured these photos suited her well.  I was so excited when Rebecca contacted me to her senior portraits because it was my first official high school senior shoot and when we had the chance to speak on the phone to discuss her shoot, I knew I was dealing with someone really special. I asked her to bring some items to the shoot that mean something to her and represent who she is, so she chose her Bible and her camera … She loves the Lord and taking photos 🙂  I knew we would be great friends! Rebecca was her high school class Valedictorian and will be going to UCI in the fall. I’m excited to see all the wonderful and exciting places she goes!
